Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) in Willow Grove, and Bucks County School of Beauty Culture, Inc. in Feasterville entered into a partnership to benefit EASTERN Cosmetology students who are unable to complete their hours before graduation.  Bucks County School of Beauty Culture, Inc. will accept all current cosmetology student transfer hours earned at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology as long as the student possesses a high school diploma.

All students must attend a tour and information session with the Bucks County School of Beauty Culture, Inc. Admissions Director before acceptance. The director will evaluate the student's skill level, discuss the remaining hours needed to complete their training, and discuss the student’s educational goals. All transfer students will be given the opportunity to explore the Bucks County School of Beauty Culture, Inc.’s optional classes/electives available. The Bucks County School of Beauty Culture, Inc. teaching staff will evaluate students’ clinical skills when they start school. Any transfer student who is unsure of a specific skill will be permitted to sit in on the class for that skill when it is being taught.

“We truly appreciate this partnership and for some time now, we have been seeking a way to assist those students who could not complete the required hours while at EASTERN,” said Wendy Leyden, EASTERN’s Cosmetology Instructor.  “Our Cosmetology students are very committed to the field and work hard to complete their hours, but we understand that there are certain circumstances that cannot be avoided.  We are so pleased that our students could potentially transfer all of their hours earned at EASTERN and qualify to take the State Board of Cosmetology exam.”
