Training Supervisor Information
Definition of a Training Supervisor
Supervisors are those who will be individually responsible for the welfare of a child or children (under the age of 18), or who will have direct contact with a child or children. This means they will be involved directly with the care, supervision, guidance, or control of children, or will have routine interaction with children.Such persons are considered to be responsible for a child’s welfare, meaning they provide permanent or temporary care, supervision, training, or control of a child. This includes persons with direct or regular contact with children through any school-sponsored program, activity, or service (meaning a public educational, athletic, or other pursuit in which children participate).

Clearances
All prospective supervisors must obtain the following clearances:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check
- FBI Federal Criminal History Clearance and Fingerprinting OR
Complete an training supervisor exemption form indicating you have been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years.

Training Supervisors will also need to be approved by EASTERN’s Director Dr. Cathleen Plesnarski and EASTERN’s Joint Operating Committee.
