Dr. Kenneth Molczan has been appointed as the new Practical Nursing Program Coordinator at the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN), starting June 1, 2024. He will succeed Mrs. Carol Duell, who has served in this role since 2007. EASTERN’s Practical Nursing Program is recognized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Middle States Commission of Secondary Schools. It is specifically designed to prepare carefully chosen individuals for a rewarding career in Practical Nursing. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCLEX) PN Licensing examination.
Dr. Molczan is a seasoned Nursing Professional with over 30 years of experience across various healthcare sectors. He began his career as a Staff Nurse at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and has since held several key roles. Prior to his appointment as the Practical Nursing Program Coordinator at EASTERN, Dr. Molczan served as the Director of Nursing, Women & Infant Services at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Facility Administrator at Pediatric Specialty Care in Philadelphia, and Clinical Director of Maternal Child Services at Crozer Keystone Medical Center in Upland. His diverse background brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position.
He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Duquesne University, his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Hahnemann University, and his Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Wilmington University. Dr. Molczan holds certifications as a Registered Nurse, a Certified Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC), a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN), and a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN).
