Greetings EASTERN Family,  

The school year will begin in just a couple weeks. Here are some important details to help as you prepare: 

Admission of Students 

Admission of students to EASTERN programming is determined by our sending school districts. Any questions related to admission should be directed to your high school guidance department. 

Schedule 

The first student day at EASTERN is Tuesday, September 1st  

Doors open at 7:30 am for the morning session that begins at 7:45 am and ends at 10:30 am. 

Doors open at 11:45 am for the afternoon session that begins at 12 noon and ends at 2:45 pm.

Calendar 

Our students come from 8 district high schools and typically two private schools. We do our best to coordinate our calendars with those schools. Questions related to conflicts and student requirements can be directed to your sending school. Students are always welcome to attend EASTERN during their scheduled time when we are in session. EASTERN Calendar

Transportation 

Transportation to and from EASTERN is provided by the sending school districts. Please contact your school district with any transportation related questions. 

If you plan to drive your student to EASTERN, please follow the signs in the parking lot and look for staff members who will be helping with traffic flow. Drop off and pick up take place at the “ramp” entrance which is the one closest to the entrance of the parking lot. Please plan to pick up students as close to the end of their session as possible.  

12th grade students are prioritized for parking at EASTERN on a first come, first served basis. 11th grade students will be considered for spots if available as we progress through the school year. The link to our online application is available on the EASTERN website (www.eastech.org) under the Parents and Students tab by selecting Students and scrolling down. Temporary parking passes will be forwarded to seniors who have submitted an application and clear the initial review prior to our first day of school. Students may NOT park at EASTERN without a parking permit (temporary or regular). 

Materials: 

Information related to Required Materials can also be found at www.eastech.org under the Parents and Students tab by selecting Students and scrolling down. If you have specific questions on items to be purchased, please email your child’s instructor for clarification.  

Student Information 

You will be receiving an email that includes a link to an online form so that you can provide information about your student (parent/guardian contact, medical issues, etc.). It is important for you to complete and submit that form before the beginning of the school year. The form will be sent to you on 8/24. Students will not be able to access our network or participate in the lab areas of our programs until the forms are completed and submitted. 

Parent Portal 

Our Parent Portal allows families to monitor their student’s progress in their program. Parent Portal usernames and passwords will be automatically generated by our Student Information System, and an email with credentials and instructions will be sent to families after our Family Orientation Night. 

Family Orientation 

Our Family Orientation Night will be held on Monday, September 14th. We request that an adult from the family of each student attend this important event where you will meet your student’s instructor and learn more about the EASTERN experience.
