Alumni Spotlight – Philip Klaski, Construction Technology

Phil-KlaskiEastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) 1987 Construction Technology / Upper Dublin High School alumni, Philip Klaski, attended Orleans Technical College after high school graduation to make himself even more marketable by adding electrical technology to his list of credentials. Klaski is currently enjoying a successful career as a Plant Operations Manager for a maintenance department.

Since completing his education, Klaski has worked continuously in the carpentry field. He credits EASTERN for providing him with the basic skills and techniques needed to succeed in the field and to give him a head start on his post-secondary education.

Klaski’s wife, Michelle, and daughter, Brittany, also attended EASTERN programs and are still in their fields of study as well. The entire family are advocates of career and technical education and the real-world skills that it provides.

“If you want to get a head start on your career, EASTERN is a great starting point,” said Klaski. “It is a great way to get the experience you need, and an early start on your goals for the future. I would recommend any EASTERN program to a career-minded high school student. It truly offers a hands-on learning environment that you cannot get anywhere else.”

Construction Technology at EASTERN is the first step for students interested in pursuing a successful career in the carpentry field. Students have the opportunity to work on both residential and commercial construction in the school’s shop.
