EASTERN 2018 Cosmetology  and Upper DublinHigh School alum, Gabbie Saylor, is currently pursuing her associate degree at Montgomery County Community College while training atGlam Hair Studio in Springhouse where she will soon begin working as a full-time stylist. After high school graduation, Saylor completed her required Cosmetology hours at Lansdale School of Cosmetology, an EASTERN articulation agreement partner, and received her Pennsylvania Cosmetology License in December of 2018.

Saylor’s interest in Cosmetology began at a young age. She credits her interest in the field to the many family members she has in the haircare industry. Saylor heard about the career-focused programs at EASTERN through her Upper Dublin High School guidance counselor, who recommended that she attend EASTERN’s Open Hous eto visit the Cosmetology program. Saylor knew immediately after the visit that Cosmetology would be a perfect fit for her.

“The education I received at EASTERN helped me by building my confidence in my career,” said Saylor. “When I first started out inthe program,I would get so nervous even picking up a pair of hair cutting scissors. By the time I graduated, I was getting more confident in all aspects of doing hair, whether it was hair cutting, hair coloring, or even hair styling. If you want to pursue a career as a cosmetologist, going to EASTERN should be your top choice! The teachers and staff are welcoming, and if you ever find that you need help, someone will always be there to assist. Do not be afraid to pursue a career in this exciting and lucrative field.”
