Benjamin Vozzo was selected as the Culinary Arts Instructor at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) starting in January 2020. Mr. Vozzo has an Associate of Culinary Arts from the Restaurant School of Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Science in Food Marketing from Saint Joseph University. He has experience working abroad in Europe learning to prepare Spanish, French and Italian cuisine.
Since 2016, Mr. Vozzo worked as the Culinary Resource Manager at The Culinary Arts Institute of Montgomery County Community College (MCCC). Prior to MCCC, Mr. Vozzo was a Culinary Instructor at Star Career Academy, and served as Executive Chef at several upscale restaurants locally and throughout Key West, Florida.
“Through EASTERN’s strong partnership with Montgomery County Community College, I really got to know the staff and students at EASTERN over the past several years,” said Mr. Vozzo. “I have always been an advocate of career and technical education and feel as though EASTERN is a good fit for me as an educator. It is a place where my training, experience, and lifelong love of cooking can be utilized to create the next generation of culinarians.”
Culinary Arts at EASTERN enables students to acquire a variety of skills including soup and sauce preparation, preparation of meat, fish and poultry entrees, baking, kitchen sanitation, purchasing and inventory controls.
