Ms. Leyden
Ms. Wendy Leyden joined EASTERN in 2001 as the Cosmetology Instructor. Prior to EASTERN Wendy taught Cosmetology at Jean Madeline Education Center for eight years.
Wendy received her Cosmetology and Cosmetology teacher license from Jean Madeline Education Center in 1992. She received specialized color training from Aveda and Pro-Color techniques and became the color educator for the Jean Madeline Education Center and Adolf Biecker Salons.
Currently Wendy and her students run the Cosmetology Clinic, which is open to the public, as well as many other community involved events.

Ms. Mednick
Ms. Amy Mednick joined EASTERN in August 2011 as Cosmetology Instructor. Amy is a 1994 graduate of EASTERN’s Cosmetology program, and received her Cosmetology Teaching License through EASTERN in 1995.
In 2003, Amy received her bachelor’s degree in Vocational Education from Temple University. For eight years prior to EASTERN, Amy taught at Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in South Philadelphia.
Since 1994, Amy has been a member of EASTERN’s Cosmetology Occupational Advisory Committee in which she assisted faculty and administration establish curriculum and performance standards, and recommended tools and equipment used in the field.
Amy’s love of cosmetology began at a young age. Her aspiration to teach extends from some of the great teacher role models she has had throughout her education.
