Mini courses are enrichment classes available when programs are not filled with half day students. Mini courses may include:

Combination Welding
Try your hand at joining metals using a variety of welding processes. We will provide the safety gear you provide the interest. Your hand/eye coordination will be put to the test when you practice welding or using the cutting torch. If you are interested in the sciences and engineering, this course will give you the chance to experience ratio and proportion of gas interaction with different metallic properties. A great hands-on experience!

Electronics and Music
If you've been to a rock concert, you have experienced electronics at work! Find out how the professionals use electronic principles to make a successful show by building in class electronic circuits for radios, audio amplifiers, sound generators and light organs. This course is an introduction to a highly technical area.

Home Improvement
You will have step-by-step instructions for common household repairs related to electricity, carpentry and plumbing. You will also learn how to troubleshoot problems that often occur. By the end of the course you will know how to use tools properly and feel confident about doing household repairs.

Landscaping
Introduce yourself to the world of landscaping! You will use hand tools and grounds keeping equipment used by the pros! Planting, fertilizing, mulching and pruning techniques are highlighted, along with plant identification and the design skills you will need to make attractive landscapes!

Photography
Digital photography, advertising photography, professional portraiture and basic darkroom techniques are just a few of the skills you will learn in this program. Experience fine art and self-expression photography, as well as digital photography and computer photo restoration. You will have on-location and studio assignments with commercial darkrooms and fully equipped commercial studios to use. You must provide your own 35 mm camera.
