Welcome to EASTERN's High School Career Programs!

Eastern Center for Arts and Technology welcomes all new and returning students. Since 1965, EASTERN has provided quality occupational and technical education to the people of our service area.

Our commitment is to continue to be a leader in technology with a solid commitment to maintain partnerships with industry, a state of the art facility, and to provide students of all ages with positive lifelong learning skills. We hope that you who have chosen vocational education as part of your educational program find EASTERN a place where new friendships are formed, your potential for leadership is developed and you career goals can be obtained.

Options at EASTERN include:

• Career Programs
  ...are 5 days a week for 2 hours 45 minutes in the morning or afternoon.

• Mini Enrichment Courses
  ...if approved by the high school for approximately 60 minutes beginning at 7:45 a.m., 9:25 a.m., 12:00 p.m., or 1:30 p.m.

• College Credit Penn State Courses
  ... are tuition based programs held at Penn State, Abington.  Class meeting days  for the Accounting/Business and Computer and Information Science courses are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 to 8:45 AM.  It is expected that students will work at PSU or at home on Tuesday and Thursday on outside-of-class activities.

  The Engineering course will meet Monday through Thursday from 7:30 to 8:45 AM with no class Friday for both the fall and spring semester. The extra meeting day for Engineering is due to the course requirement for a higher number of contact hours.

• Scholarship and award opportunities for graduating seniors are posted on the bulletin board just off EASTERN's lobby. EASTERN students should see their Student Success Coordinator for details and application forms.
